The Gisburn Mansions
The Gisburn Mansions development offered an opportunity to be involved in a unique vertical extension in the Tottenham area of London. The extension was designed to introduce 12 new flats to the existing, prestigious building.
As we were involved at an early stage, we started with the installation of a temporary three-phase electric supply and meter which was dedicated to supplying the crane, an essential resource within such a complex development.
Throughout the development we worked closely with the client to understand the build programme and went on to schedule the following activities:
The installation of 12 new water services.
The upgrade of the existing electric infrastructure to enable the installation of 12 new electric services.
The installation of 12 new gas services.
The alteration of three existing gas services to support other areas of the development.
The installation of BT Openreach infrastructure to provide fibre to the premises.
There were, of course, many challenges. Old infrastructure needed to be replaced, the council were very strict on when excavations could take place and of course, a utility installer cannot work beneath the critical scaffold structure. Despite such issues, the building is now complete, and we take pride in knowing that we have successfully supported the project.
Our client has since presented us with further opportunities of significant size and value and we have since been appointed as their utilities consultant/coordinator.
