Revitalising a Dore Bungalow: Coordinating Utilities for a Modern Apartment Development

Flats at The White House

A dated bungalow in the picturesque village of Dore, Sheffield, is being given a new lease of life. What once stood as a single residential dwelling is now being transformed into 10 contemporary apartments to this sought-after area on the edge of the Peak District.

Our team has been engaged to coordinate the installation of core utility services for the development. This includes managing the provision of electric services, water connections, and a dedicated supply for electric vehicle (EV) charging points—ensuring the site meets modern sustainability and infrastructure expectations.

Getting the project off the ground wasn’t without its challenges. As with many developments in heritage-rich or semi-rural locations, a number of planning issues needed to be worked through before mobilisation could begin. Thanks to close collaboration with the developer and local stakeholders, these hurdles were successfully resolved, allowing work to proceed on site.
With a focus on energy-efficient living and future-ready amenities, this project represents a thoughtful approach to suburban infill development—preserving the charm of the village while catering to growing housing demand.
We look forward to seeing the completed transformation and are proud to contribute to the essential infrastructure that makes these new homes viable for future residents.
