New Domestic Development

This is a really local project to us, located in Barnsley, allowing us to also work alongside local businesses
including a loyal customer of ours. This development is a stunning, eye-catching five bedroom detached house situated in the heart of Cawthorne – a lovely village surrounded by beautiful countryside and home to
Cannon Hall.

Challenge
Our role was to coordinate the installation of gas, water and electric supplies. Some challenges we encountered on this project involved the property being raised from road level.

Our Solution
Meeting Utility Depth Requirements: Statutory network owners have utility depth requirements that are recommended, in this case with the property being raised from road level this posed a few issues but nothing that couldn’t be resolved by liaising with the relevant engineers to support the developer in achieving a solution and enabling the connections to take place.
Successful Gas Connections: Houses of this calibre come with complexities, in this case, the gas supply feeding the main house wasn’t enough to feed the large multi car garage situated at the rear of the site. Another independent gas supply was required to feed under-floor heating in order to keep the cars warm throughout the winter months.

Results:
Successful Utility Connections: After successfully liaising with the necessary gas, water and electric networks we had successfully coordinated this development to completion.
