Utility Source is proud to have contributed to the transformation of the historic Coach House at Hillsborough Park, Sheffield. Working alongside D&G Utilities, we helped bring this community project to life with expert gas installation, supporting a vibrant new café and dementia-friendly spaces.
We are pleased to have completed the gas installation works at the old Coach House which sits at the heart of Hillsborough Park, Sheffield.
The historic building was a derelict Grade 2 structure but it has since been transformed into a spectacular community cafe. The development was the brainchild of the charity Age UK and was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The construction was completed by Creative Building Projects and it offers the local community a positive meeting space.
The annexe of the building is know as the 'potting shed' which has also been converted to be used for dementia friendly activities such as crafting, woodwork, gardening and sewing with both buildings backing onto the walled community garden.
Where it all startedWe worked closely with our contractor, D&G Utilities who installed a new 63mm main and a service into the property. They completed all of the excavation and reinstatement works for their installation and they managed expectations with the team on site brilliantly. The setting is stunning and we are proud to have been a small part of the journey!
