Young Owls Get Boost From Utility Source Sponsorship

At Utility Source, we believe local businesses should play an active role in supporting the communities around them.

From grassroots football and cricket to dance and youth activities, we’re proud to support organisations that create opportunities for young people, bring communities together and make a real difference locally.
One of the organisations closest to our hearts is Young Owls JFC, where Utility Source owner and director Dean Pattison volunteers as one of the Under 15s coaches.

Dean has been involved in grassroots football coaching for the past nine seasons and is now in his third season with Young Owls. They compete in the Sheffield & District Junior Sunday Football League, one of the largest junior football leagues in Europe.

“Grassroots football is something I’ve always been passionate about,” said Dean. “It started through my own son playing football, but it quickly became about much more than that. These lads work hard, support each other and represent the club brilliantly both on and off the pitch.”

Alongside volunteering his time, Utility Source has supported the club through sponsorship of training kits, match kits and equipment.

Young Owls manager Ian praised both Dean and Utility Source for their ongoing support.
“He’s a great asset to the team and the club,” Ian said. “Not only because of what he brings football-wise, but because of the support Utility Source provides financially as well. The help with kits and equipment is massively appreciated.”

Dean explained that sponsorship becomes increasingly important for grassroots teams as players get older and costs continue to rise.

“Once you get past the younger age groups, funding becomes much harder to secure,” he said. “Clubs rely heavily on volunteers, fundraising and local sponsorship to keep opportunities available for young people.”
Alongside supporting Young Owls, Utility Source is also proud to support SV Dance Studios and Wath Cricket Club as part of the company’s wider commitment to community projects across South Yorkshire.
Wath Cricket Club also hosts Utility Source’s property networking events, helping bring together local property developers, investors and businesses while supporting an important community sports club at the same time.

For Utility Source, community involvement is about more than sponsorship. It is about helping create opportunities, supporting local organisations and giving something back to the communities where we live and work.

As a Yorkshire-based utility consultancy supporting property developers, investors and businesses across the region, we are proud to continue investing in grassroots sport and community organisations that make a genuine difference locally.
